I have two marvelous French Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy posters that have been professionally re-framed and matted, with reg/non-glare glass. They were originally on display within a Columbus, Ohio movie theater that closed decades ago. We matched the color of the matting so it was exactly the same as that originally used during framing. The posters were attached to a poster type board by the theaters, so we're unable to remove and roll posters.  The outer frame measures circa 37 1/2" tall x 29" wide, and the inner poster measures circa 21 1/2" x 30". The Stan Laurel piece shows a BENARI signature, plus they have Imp. BEDOS et Cie Paris on posters. They have been stored within our smoke free / pet free home for the past several years. They have always been on display in an area where the sunlight can never touch them.  Please feel free to ask any / all questions prior to bidding.  Packing and shipping will be professionally handled by local UPS office  (I apologize for their high fees!!).
Obviously the large size and weight of the two pieces dictates the large packing/shipping fee by UPS.  Per a recent query, I'd like to add a caveat whereby I can honestly say that I am NOT a professional movie poster expert, therefore I can only state the facts as to where the prints came from and how I had them upgraded/framed for sale.  Whether the old movie theater received original prints, that is an unknown piece of info after all of these decades.  I have them listed as original due to the circumstances, but again, my explanation is the best that I can do for you.  I hope that eases any concern about what I have.
    Go Navy!
    Please note the following:
(The following quote is from CHRISTIES auction house, which handled the sale of these same "types" of posters:  In France during the early years of cinema, the first real film stars were comics such as Max Linder, Fatty Arbuckle, and Charlie Chaplin. Capitalizing on this personal popularity, the film distributors produced publicity posters focusing on the actors themselves rather than on the actual film. These French publicity posters were called affiche passe-partout. This tradition continued through to the 1930s and 40s, with publicity posters produced for stars such as Greta Garbo and Rita Hayworth, and, as in early years, comics such as Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy of comic duo Laurel and Hardy.
