    Description

Dracula 1931 - original French first release poster / advertising fold-out
You are bidding on an official French poster / advertising fold-out by Universal-Film France, distributed to announce the release of the famous Dracula movie in 1931/1932
    among French movie theater owners
    - the movie actually premiered in France at "l'Hermitage" movie theater in Paris on 02/13/1932. Printed by Imp. Chassaing, Nevers.
Front page (picture 2) and back (picture 3) designs signed "HC". Inside double-page providing information on cast and synopsis. Fold-out fully opened (picture 1) providing a wonderful unsigned modernist design advertising for the movie- completely different from any of the picturesque U.S. designs.
Condition of the fold-out is overall good. Pronounced foldlines, which are partly a little thin to the outside (please compare picture 1). Very tiny split at the center of the fully opened poster, where foldlines cross (again, please compare picture 1). Some smudge across the light green areas of the front and back designs (please compare pictures 2 and 3).
    dimensions (closed):    14" 1/2 x 10" 2/3 (37 cm x 27 cm)
    "         (fully opened):     28" 3/4 x 21" 1 /4 (73 cm x 54 cm)
